Description

Ingredients
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • three cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • four sheets nori (seaweed)
  • 1/2 cup raw fish (salmon or tuna), sliced (optionally available)
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi (for serving)
Instructions
  1. Rinse sushi rice until water runs clean. cook rice in water until it becomes tender.

  2. Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt, then fold into the cooked rice.

  3. Cool slightly.

  4. Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat, brilliant side down.

  5. Unfold a skinny layer of rice on the nori, leaving 1 inch at the pinnacle area.

  6. Add fillings like fish, cucumber, and avocado. Roll tightly the bamboo mat.

  7. Slice the roll into portions and serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi.
